Notes:

Note 1 - Physics I and Physics II are preferred Area D Sciences, however, any sequence of

Lab Sciences from the approved list is permissible.

 

Note 2 – Chemistry I is the preferred Area F Science, however, any level Lab Science from the approved list is permissible with department approval.

 

Note 3 – Students choose three courses from an approved list of IET electives to strengthen their in such areas as quality, logistics and team dynamics. The Professional registration path requires MET 3101, ECET 3000, CET 2200 to be taken in place of the free electives and three hours of IET electives.

 

Note 4 – The Professional registration path requires MET 3132 be taken in place of IET 4500.

 

A grade of "C" or better is required in all courses used in the major prescribed for the bachelor degree program.

 

The Industrial Engineering Technology Program offers two Concentrations for degree seeking students.

The Industrial Engineering Technology Program also offers a Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate for IET students.

 

Green Belt certified practitioners generally work with within a quality improvement project, analyzing and solving quality related problems.  Additionally, a Green Belt certificate is required for those interested in pursuing a Black Belt status.

An online examination is also required for certification.  The exams are administered each December and May.  Students who have completed the course requirements and would like to take the exam may do so by contacting the IET Administrative Assistant for further information.
